NURSING HOMES REACH IMPORTANT MILESTONE IN CMS COVID-19 TRAINING

CMS has publicly recognized that nearly 1,100 facilities have had 50% or more of their staff complete the CMS training to combat the spread of COVID-19 in nursing homes.

These facilities are getting accolades for staying up to date on the latest information on infection control, vaccine distribution, and more.

The CMS training for frontline workers includes:

  • Module 1: Hand Hygiene and PPE

  • Module 2: Screening and Surveillance

  • Module 3: Cleaning the Nursing Home

  • Module 4: Cohorting

  • Module 5: Caring for Residents with Dementia in a Pandemic

The CMS management training is a 10-module course covering topics of telehealth, emergency preparedness, and vaccine delivery.
