CHUG: COVID-19 CMS Nursing Home Training
CHUG staff will participate in the recently launched CMS Emergency Nursing Home Training. The Department of Health adopted an emergency amendment to the Skilled Nursing and Intermediate Care Facilities Code to account for COVID-19 protocols.
“The emergency rule requires frontline clinical and management staff at skilled and intermediate care facilities to undergo free COVID-19 training provided by the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. At least 50% of staff must complete this training by 12/31/20, and all staff must complete training by 1/31/21.”
