Hospice Chaplain Turned Author Wins Award
HOSPICE CHAPLAIN TURNED AUTHOR WINS AWARD
Helen Dixon, the Hospice Chaplain in College Station, Texas was recognized with the Be Remarkable Award after writing “My Little Blue House: A Life After Love Story.”
After spending time dedicated to those she encounters at work, and in grief support groups, Helen was moved to write her book about what happens, and how to begin to heal when you lose someone you love.
“This book details what life is like in the Little Blue House, which is the place that is the life that you built with that person who no longer lives there. And so there’s a loneliness that comes with that, but there is a way to live it. It is possible, and with other people who understand is the way to do so,”
