HCA Healthcare Supports Hospitals in Responding to the 2024 Hurricane Season

As the 2024 hurricane season is in full swing, running from June 1 to November 30, HCA Healthcare has conducted its annual enterprise-wide hurricane readiness briefing. This briefing updates and equips hospitals, particularly those in hurricane-prone regions like Florida, Texas, Louisiana, South Carolina, and Georgia to stay informed about current and projected weather trends.

So far, the season has already seen six named storms and the earliest Category 5 storm on record.

“It’s not a matter of ‘if’ a hurricane or tropical storm will make landfall near or impact one of our hospitals, but ‘when.’ It’s our job to ensure we have the infrastructure and systems in place to ensure seamless, uncompromised patient care.”
