Fall Community Table Top Exercise- Healthcare Acquired Infections (HAI)

Workshop Overview:

This Table-Top Exercise (TTX) includes a group discussion led by a facilitator, using a narrated, clinically-relevant emergency scenario, and a set of problem statements, directed messages, or prepared questions designed to challenge an emergency plan. The purpose of the TTX is to discuss the operational coordination, communication, infection control/ prevention and mass care tasks for Healthcare Organizations during a Healthcare Acquired Infections (HAI) scenario.

Workshop Objectives:

  • Identify key planning elements for including plans, policies, and procedures

  • Discuss and document an initial assessment of multiple incidents and discuss the appropriate actions and tasks to reduce or eliminate loss of life and property

  • Identify key National Incident Management System roles and responsibilities and their functions, and more!

Recommended Participants:

All Department Heads to include but not be limited to: Nursing Home Administrators, Director of Nursing, Facility Managers, Emergency or Safety Planning Team Members, Health Care Workers, Social Workers, Environmental Services, Dietary, etc.
