WHAT’S COMING IN 2022 FOR HEALTHCARE CYBERSECURITY?

As we reflect on 2021 and how the pandemic has shined a spotlight on the gaps in IT security throughout healthcare systems, 2022 will require implementing the lessons learned.

“Phishing, ransomware, third-party risks, and medical device security vulnerabilities will likely be persisting threats in the healthcare sector for the foreseeable future. But that does not mean that there is nothing organizations can do to mitigate risks and learn from the numerous cybersecurity incidents of 2021.”

There has to be a heavier emphasis on the investments healthcare systems are willing to back to help ensure safety from cybersecurity threats. Budgeting may prove difficult as the healthcare landscape is already strained by the impacts of COVID-19.
