PREPARATION IS KEY FOR WINTER DRIVING SAFETY
Winters are historically known for being unpredictable, so it’s important to hope for the best but prepare for the worst.
According to the Illinois Department of Transportation, following basic winter driving skills paired with adding in extra travel time can help prevent accidents and the possibility for prolonged periods in sub-zero temperatures.
“Do not travel during bad weather unless absolutely necessary. If you do have to make a trip, check the forecast and make sure someone is aware of your travel route. Consider taking public transportation if it is an option.”
CHUG UPDATES: As the chilly months come, it’s important to keep our furry friends safe and warm, but we can’t forget the importance of also prioritizing exercise for our pets during the wintertime.
