CVS AND WALGREENS PARTNER TO BRING COVID-19 VACCINES TO LONG-TERM CARE FACILITIES
As part of the partnership program, the CDC has partnered with the two national pharmacy chains to offer on-site COVID-19 vaccines to residents of nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
In an effort to get the vaccine to those most vulnerable, the partnership will help bring access to rural communities that may not have easily accessible pharmacies.
Long-term care facility staff who haven’t had the opportunity to receive the COVID-19 vaccination have the chance to do so through this program.
