In late October, hackers unleashed ransomware on several hospitals across the nation leaving the possibility of compromised data throughout.

Any time sensitive information is threatened, it is an urgent matter, but especially for healthcare systems who promise their patients confidentiality.

CHUG UPDATES: On October 29th, 2020, CHUG alerted members about an advisory sent by the HHS ASPR Division of Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) warning of "tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) used by cybercriminals against targets in the Healthcare and Public Health Sector (HPH) to infect systems with Ryuk ransomware for financial gain."
