ACHA MEETS UNPRECEDENTED HEALTHCARE LABOR SHORTAGE WITH EDUCATION CAMPAIGN
Many healthcare workers feel called to the industry because of their true desire to help people by providing quality care. While other sectors have seen their workforce bounce back to pre-pandemic levels, the skilled nursing vertical has lagged vastly behind.
“While doctors’ offices, and the home health and hospice sectors have recovered to pre-pandemic employment levels, skilled nursing facilities are short almost a quarter-million employees.”
The new ACHA campaign will focus on attracting new workers, retaining current workers, and even trying to win back previous employees. By offering educational opportunities and additional incentives based on what motivates employees to stay or leave, the workforce is projected to improve.
