WIDESPREAD TELEHEALTH IMPLEMENTATION HINDERED FOR SENIOR LIVING FACILITIES

Long-term care facilities are looking for creative ways to reduce costs, repair staffing shortages, and improve the quality of care. “Overall, the survey found that more than 60% of clinicians believe that the use of telehealth is “dangerous” for older adults due to their complex medical needs. The survey also found that 63% of providers believe that telehealth is unrealistic for many older adults due to their physical or cognitive challenges.”
