BOOM LIFT FIRE CAUSES NURSING HOME-WIDE EVACUATION, TWO RESCUED
A JLG lift caught fire outside of an Ohio nursing home trapping two workers 20 feet from the ground. A quick response allowed for the fire to be mitigated while 53 residents and 12 staff members were relocated to a nearby church safely.
“Officials say that upon arrival firefighters found the JLG lift on fire with the two victims trapped in the bucket approximately 20 feet off the ground. Willard Fire says that 53 residents and 12 staff members were transported to a nearby church until the hazard was mitigated.”
