New Coffee Shop in Seattle to Bridge the Generation Gap
NEW COFFEE SHOP IN SEATTLE TO BRIDGE THE GENERATION GAP
North of Main is an everyday coffee shop settled right inside Bellevue Watermark, an upscale facility with assisted living and memory care areas, The coffee shop is also open to non-residents and has big hopes for the future by offering “a shift in senior living, from isolated suburban residences to vibrant urban buildings thoroughly integrated within the larger community.”
North of Main will also host events and live entertainment, all while being integrated into the Watermark community. Independent living residents will be able to use their dining credits in the coffee shop, North of Main is also a natural meeting place for anyone visiting a resident in the assisted living area.
“One thing that I’ve learned is that not many Americans know what aging looks like,” Jervis tells Eater Seattle. “And there’s a stigma.”
