CHUG: March is Severe Weather Preparedness Month
For Illinois, the weather can vary day-to-day. What can start as clear skies can quickly turn into high winds, dark skies, and thunderstorms.
That’s why emergency preparedness is at the core of what we do at CHUG. We know that proactively addressing threats can save time, money, and most importantly, lives.
The Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) and the National Weather Service (NWS) have teamed up to publish a Severe Weather Preparedness Guide to help Illinoisans be better prepared when tornadoes, severe storms, flooding, and other weather-related emergencies strike.
