CHUG: Cybersecurity Training Lacking for Healthcare Workers

Last October, we notified our members about a string of cyber attacks that negatively impacted healthcare systems across the country.

At CHUG, we thrive on bridging the gap between the healthcare industry and services that can help these organizations prepare for internal and external threats to their daily operations.

According to a report by healthitsecurity.com , “Employees in the healthcare sector were also the least aware of social engineering threats, including phishing, vishing, and business email compromise. Only 16 percent of healthcare employee survey respondents reported understanding social engineering threats very well.”

In the healthcare sector, risks are way more serious because they often compromise both employee and patient safety and security. That’s why we offer educational workshops, risk assessments, and real-time drills that simulate emergency situations in the name of preparedness.
